If you’re like me, you probably have a blog and use Google Analytics to track visitor activity. If you’ve not already got one, you probably want a “Most Popular Posts” section on your blog as it’s a great way for new visitors to find your best content. The only problem is that this would usually have to be hard coded, and would therefore need updating periodically after you’ve checked the “Top Content” report in Google Analytics, or it would require some server-side scripting and a database to track your page views and show the links dynamically.

If you read, hear, or talk a lot about links and how to build them on a daily basis (like I do), you’ll get slapped around the ears with the term authority links quite often. The answer to the question how to obtain such authority links depends, because there are different types of authority links; Absolute Authority Links (or general authority links) and Relative Authority Links (or topical authority links). While some strategies may lead to building links from both categories at the same time, you might have to use different approaches if you’re aiming at both kinds.

We all know the importance of having a Web site rank well in search engine results for searches on specific keywords/phrases. If your Web site doesn’t have a page appearing in the top 10 search engine result positions (SERPs) the chances of someone clicking on your listing, and actually visiting your site, drop dramatically. If you’re not in the top 20 you have almost no chance that someone will scan through the SERPs that far to find your page.
